Current practice of IONM for AIS surgery across the UK
A message from the researchers:
Hello!
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to complete the questionnaire which was sent out at the end of last year. This questionnaire aims to assess the current practice of Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) surgery across the UK, and more specifically the nuances of how TcMEPs are performed. This will build a national picture of IONM practice and will be the foundations on which to undertake future work.
We know not everyone received the invite to participate previously, so would like to provide another opportunity to fill out the questionnaire. Relatively few centres provided responses last year, so to make it more convenient to complete the questionnaire is now split into a shorter required section, and an optional additional details section.
If you haven’t already completed the questionnaire and would like to contribute towards understanding national practice, please follow this link or use the QR code to take part.
The questionnaire will remain open until the 10th of May 2024, and the results will be shared via the BSIN.
Thanks once again, and we look forward to reading your responses, kind regards,
Joshua Wiggett and Michael Pridgeon
