BSIN Executive Committee Open Roles 2025

We’d like to offer our members a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our growing organisation dedicated to advancing intraoperative neurophysiology in the UK. You’ll gain valuable CPD experience, work with a friendly and dedicated team, and help shape BSIN’s future.

1. Marketing & Communications (MARCOM) Officer

Are you passionate about advancing the field of IONM? Do you have a flair for creative communication?

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to make an impact!

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing & Communications Officer to join our committee. As the Marcom Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our external communications efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support external communications and marketing initiatives to promote BSIN's mission and objectives.
  • Manage regular updates of BSIN’s website and social media channels, ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with organisational goals.
  • Generate innovative content to grow our social media following and increase engagement across digital communication channels, including our new group forum.
  • Act as a digital forum moderator, overseeing communication activity, monitoring contributor interactions, and guiding discussions to maintain a positive and productive environment.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to dedicating time to the voluntary role is essential, alongside current experience in the field of intraoperative neurophysiology.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create compelling content for our members.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A warm and friendly disposition is essential for this role, fostering positive interactions within our community.

2. Secretary

Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about advancing intraoperative neurophysiology (IONM) in the UK? We are looking for a dedicated volunteer Secretary to join our board and help drive the success of our organisation.

This is more than just an administrative role—it’s an opportunity to make a real impact on the field of IONM. You’ll work with a passionate team, help shape industry standards and contribute to the growth of our organisation.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Organisation: Coordinate executive committee meetings, including setting agendas, recording minutes, and following up on decisions.
  • Manage Records: Oversee official documentation, ensure secure storage and backups, and maintain compliance with company regulations.
  • Corporate Administration: Handle filings with Companies House, including director updates and annual returns.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the Treasurer on HMRC filings and regulatory requirements.
  • Governance: Ensure policies on data protection and corporate governance are current and compliant.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Commitment: Dedicate time to this key role while maintaining your involvement in the IONM field.
  • Organisational Skills: Bring strong attention to detail and a knack for communication.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with tools like Google Drive, Doodle Poll, WhatsApp, and secure email systems.

As a Secretary and board director, you’ll play a central role in ensuring BSIN thrives, helping us achieve our mission to elevate IONM practices across the UK.
