An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Neurophysiology department, at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, a world leading centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
The suitably qualified Healthcare Scientist will join a team primarily involved in intra-operative neurophysiology in addition to undertaking a range of department and ward-based Neurophysiology investigations which include Stereo EEG (SEEG) and a part of an adult epilepsy surgery program.
The intra-operative monitoring service covers both adult spinal and cranial based surgery for a range of procedures which includes spinal monitoring for tumour and deformity surgery, function surgery for epilepsy, vascular malformations, brain tumour, neuropathic pain and spasticity treatment, deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders and brainstem monitoring for microvascular decompression for hemi facial spasm, trigeminal neuralgia and glossopharyngeal neuralgia. An opportunity has arisen to join this team.
Successful applicants must have experience in spinal monitoring or other equivalent areas of intra-operative monitoring practice. Successful candidate will be expected to adopt proactive approach to their own continued professional development.
All candidates should have minimum of MSc Clinical Science (Neurosensory) or equivalent experience and be RCCP registered.
