Contract Type - Permanent, full time hours 37.5hrs spread across 4 or 5 days
Salary - £37,000-£42,000 plus generous OT rates

An exciting opportunity to join a small, close-knit team in the Physiology department has become available at The Platinum Medical Centre.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To consistently perform high quality, accurate standard and complex electroencephalograms (EEG) in the department and at the patient’s bedside on infants, children, adolescent, adult and elderly patients while determining and utilising the most appropriate recording techniques to gain optimal information for clinical interpretation.
- To produce accurate technical/factual reports on all EEG’s prior to the consultant’s arrival on a daily basis.
- To consistently perform high quality, accurate standard and complex Evoked Potentials (visual, brainstem and somatosensory) in the department and at the patients bedside on infants, children, adolescent, adult and elderly patients while determining and utilising the most appropriate recording techniques to gain optimal information for clinical interpretation.
- To consistently perform high quality, accurate intraoperative monitoring (SSEP, MEP, VEP, BAEP and facial) in theatre as well as pre-operative evoked potentials while determining and utilising the most appropriate recording techniques to gain optimal information for clinical interpretation.
- To be available for on-call and out-of-normal hours services when required.
- To assist the consultants with EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies by preparing room, assisting with patient and maintaining cleanliness of testing room.
- To attend all hospital required mandatory training.
- To adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- To participate in department and hospital goals and objectives.
- To continue with professional development through educational programs, current literature, workshops, study days and conferences.
- To maintain equipment by performing daily checks, making minor adjustments as needed and reporting any equipment faults to manager, maintaining cleanliness of equipment and test rooms at all times.
- To display a positive attitude and professional and appropriate behaviour including being courteous, co-operative and respectful to consultants, manager, co-workers and patients and their families, following the HCA’s code of conduct.
- To assist with general departmental functions including record maintenance, clinical supply maintenance, clerical duties, daily workday inputting and other job-related duties as assigned.
- To assist the manager and other members of the Neurophysiology Team when required.
